Of course, as it’s our own design, we recommend trying a jacket pattern that gives you the flexibility to make creative decisions while keeping the steps simple and the finished look intricate. The Perfect Panel Jacket is such a design that sells well. It’s an artistic, yet functional wearable art piece that you construct to suit to your personal style.

The jacket can be quilted, not quilted, or even partially quilted - it’s your option! Our purple Panel Jacket sample is quilted, the orange jacket is not.

Make your jacket stand out using hand-painted Batik panels or keep it simple with contrasting fabrics. Our purple Perfect Panel Jacket uses a Large Batik Painting on the back and a Medium Batik Painting on the front. We used butterflies, but you can use whatever design fits your style. Additionally, you can use holographic threads, beads, unique buttons, ribbons or whatever you can think of to further “bling your thing.”

The straight cut of the design fits a variety of body shapes and the pattern itself comes in sizes ranging from XS to XL. It works best with cotton fabrics or fabrics with some structure.
